2. SCOPE AND DEFINITIONS

2.1. These Terms form part of the contract between the Service Provider and any person or organisation purchasing digital content or booking mentoring through workingparenthood.net (the “Website”) (“Customer”).

2.2. A “Consumer” is a natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Rights that Hungarian or other applicable law grants specifically to consumers apply only to Customers who qualify as consumers.

2.3. Contracts may be concluded in Hungarian or English. In the event of a discrepancy between the language versions, the Hungarian version shall prevail to the extent permitted by applicable mandatory law.

2.4. Working Parenthood may make its products and services available internationally. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer protections that apply under the law of the Customer’s habitual residence where those protections cannot lawfully be waived.

2.5. The Service Provider is not subject to a separate professional or voluntary code of conduct.

3. DIGITAL PRODUCTS

3.1. The following digital publications are sold as downloadable PDF files:

  • The Family Framework
  • The Career Framework
  • The Time Framework

3.2. The publications may be purchased individually, as a two-book bundle or as a three-book bundle.

3.3. Current prices are:

  • one e-book: EUR 19 on the English Website / HUF 4,500 on the Hungarian Website;
  • two-book bundle: EUR 30 / HUF 8,000;
  • three-book bundle: EUR 40 / HUF 12,000.

The price displayed immediately before payment is the applicable price. Prices are shown in EUR on the English Website and HUF on the Hungarian Website. The Service Provider invoices in accordance with the tax rules applicable to the transaction.

3.4. To use the digital content, the Customer needs an internet connection for downloading and a device/software capable of opening PDF files. No customer account is required.

4. ORDERING AND FORMATION OF THE CONTRACT

4.1. The Customer selects the product, provides the information required for billing and performance, and can review and correct input errors before payment.

4.2. Before payment, the Customer must accept these Terms.

4.3. For digital content supplied without a tangible medium, a Consumer is asked separately to expressly request and consent to performance beginning before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period and to acknowledge that, once performance begins and the statutory conditions are met, the right of withdrawal is lost.

4.4. The order becomes a binding offer when the Customer completes the final action that clearly indicates an obligation to pay. The contract is concluded when the payment is successfully accepted and the Service Provider sends an electronic confirmation.

4.5. Payments are processed through Stripe. The Service Provider does not receive or store the Customer’s complete card number or card security code.

4.6. The contract is concluded electronically and is not separately filed as a signed written contract. The Service Provider retains the key order data, relevant payment transaction data and evidence of required declarations electronically in accordance with its data-retention obligations.

4.7. Order confirmation is sent by email. It includes the essential purchase details and confirmation of the Consumer’s declarations concerning immediate digital supply and the withdrawal right where applicable.

5. DELIVERY AND DOWNLOAD

5.1. Following successful payment, the digital content is made available without undue delay.

5.2. The download link shown on the Website expires after 1 hour. The link sent by email expires after 7 days. Expiry of a link does not terminate a lawfully acquired licence. The Customer is responsible for downloading and securely storing the purchased file during the access period.

5.3. If the Customer cannot access or open the purchased file because of a technical problem, they may contact workingparenthood@gmail.com. Where appropriate, the Service Provider will provide a replacement download opportunity.

5.4. Nothing in these Terms limits a Consumer’s mandatory statutory rights relating to the conformity of digital content. Where digital content is defective, the Consumer has the remedies available under applicable law, including Hungarian Government Decree 373/2021 (VI.30), where applicable, such as bringing the content into conformity, a proportionate price reduction or termination of the contract in the circumstances provided by law.

6. WITHDRAWAL AND REFUNDS FOR DIGITAL CONTENT

6.1. As a general rule, Consumers entering into a distance contract have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right.

6.2. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the Consumer cannot exercise that right where:
(a) performance has begun before the end of the 14-day period with the Consumer’s prior express consent;
(b) at the same time, the Consumer acknowledged that the right of withdrawal would be lost once performance began; and
(c) the Service Provider supplied the legally required confirmation.

6.3. Working Parenthood e-books are made available immediately after payment at the Customer’s express request. Once the statutory conditions above are satisfied and performance has begun, no voluntary “change of mind” refund is offered for the digital content.

6.4. Clause 6.3 does not affect mandatory rights arising from defective performance, inability to access the purchased content or any other non-waivable statutory right.

6.5. Customers acting in the course of business do not have the statutory consumer withdrawal right.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND LICENCE

7.1. Working Parenthood publications and original Website content are protected by copyright. Purchase does not transfer copyright ownership.

7.2. The Customer receives a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the purchased digital content for their own purposes.

7.3. Without prior written permission from the Service Provider, the Customer may not:

  • resell the digital content;
  • make it publicly available or upload it publicly;
  • routinely distribute or share it with third parties;
  • reproduce it for organisational, training or commercial use;
  • incorporate the whole or a substantial part of it into another publication, course or product.

7.4. Corporate or multi-user use requires prior written permission. Statutory quotation and other lawful exceptions to copyright remain unaffected.

8. MENTORING SERVICES

8.1. Working Parenthood also offers individual online mentoring conversations. Mentoring cannot be purchased directly from the public Website.

8.2. The process is: enquiry → review by the Service Provider → alignment on topic and terms → private booking/payment opportunity → booking confirmation following successful payment.

8.3. A mentoring session is normally 45 minutes and takes place online.

8.4. The price is communicated clearly before booking. The Customer is informed of the total amount payable and the applicable terms before payment.

8.5. Rescheduling may be requested at least 48 hours before the booked session. Cancellation may be requested at least 24 hours before the booked session. Under the contractual cancellation policy, cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session and no-shows are non-refundable.

8.6. If the Service Provider cancels a session, the Customer may choose between rescheduling and a full refund of the mentoring fee paid.

8.7. The contractual cancellation policy in clause 8.5 does not limit any statutory withdrawal or cancellation right available to a Consumer. If a Consumer asks for the mentoring service to begin before the end of the 14-day statutory withdrawal period, that request must be made expressly. Once the service has been fully performed, the Consumer may lose the statutory withdrawal right where they expressly agreed in advance to early performance and acknowledged that consequence.

8.8. Mentoring is educational, informational and reflective support. It is not medical, psychological, psychotherapeutic, legal, tax, financial or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for crisis services or any regulated professional service.

8.9. The Service Provider does not guarantee any particular career, financial, business, family or other outcome. The Customer remains responsible for their own decisions and actions.

8.10. Mentoring sessions are not recorded. Information shared during mentoring is treated confidentially, except where disclosure is required by law.

9. NEWSLETTER AND MARKETING

9.1. Purchasing digital content does not itself subscribe the Customer to marketing emails.

9.2. Marketing or newsletter emails to natural persons are sent only on the basis of a separate, prior, explicit and voluntary consent.

9.3. Consent may be withdrawn at any time free of charge through the unsubscribe option in an email or by contacting workingparenthood@gmail.com.

9.4. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent transactional messages needed to perform a Customer-requested transaction, such as order confirmations, digital-content delivery, invoice-related messages or mentoring booking communications.

10. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

10.1. Questions or complaints may be submitted to:
Email: workingparenthood@gmail.com
Postal address: 1134 Budapest, Kassák Lajos utca 70., Hungary
Telephone: +36 30 812 7707

10.2. Written consumer complaints are answered substantively, in writing and in a verifiable manner within 30 days of receipt. If a complaint is rejected, reasons are provided.

10.3. Consumers may apply to the conciliation board competent according to their residence or place of stay. The conciliation board competent according to the Service Provider’s registered office is:

Budapest Conciliation Board
Address: 1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99. III. em. 310., Hungary
Postal address: 1253 Budapest, P.O. Box 10, Hungary
Email: bekelteto.testulet@bkik.hu
Telephone: +36 1 488 2131
Website: bekeltet.bkik.hu

As a condition of commencing conciliation, the Consumer must first attempt to resolve the dispute directly with the Service Provider. The Service Provider cooperates with the conciliation board as required by applicable law.

10.4. Consumers may also contact the consumer-protection authority competent for their place of residence.

11. LIABILITY

11.1. The Service Provider aims to keep the Website and digital content accurate and operational but does not guarantee uninterrupted Website availability.

11.2. Digital publications and mentoring content are general educational and informational materials. The Customer is responsible for considering their individual circumstances and, where appropriate, seeking advice from a suitably qualified professional.

11.3. Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by mandatory law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

12. DATA PROTECTION

12.1. Personal data is processed in accordance with the separate Privacy Notice available continuously on the Website.

12.2. Payment-related data is processed through Stripe and invoice data through Billingo in accordance with the relevant legal and contractual arrangements.

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

13.1. The Service Provider may amend these Terms prospectively, including where required by changes in law, services or technical operation.

13.2. A purchase is governed by the version of the Terms in force at the time of the order. Later amendments do not retroactively alter an already concluded contract.

14. GOVERNING LAW

14.1. These Terms and contracts concluded with the Service Provider are governed by Hungarian law.

14.2. For Consumers, this choice of law does not deprive the Consumer of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their habitual residence that cannot be derogated from by agreement.

14.3. The parties will first seek to resolve disputes amicably. If this is unsuccessful, disputes are subject to the courts having jurisdiction under applicable procedural and international jurisdiction rules.
